THE IMPRISONED FOR A PIRATE VOICE Manuel D. Benavides is within the list of novelists who cultivated the novel criticism, political or social. The novelist, playwright, journalist and politician Manuel Domínguez Benavides was born in Ponteareas, Pontevedra, on April 19, 1895 and died in Mexico on October 19, 1947.
