How to find a free domain name

Choose a name for each website should be simple enough, the problem is to choose a name that has not yet been recorded. But even today, when almost all the words possible and imaginable word or phrase that is already registered you can still find a good domain. There are different opinions on what is a good domain. It always depends on the purpose of the site. On the other hand, however there are many thousands of domains that are released every day because their owners forgot or did not want to extend the registration period.

Before you start
You should always have a registered domain before you start any online business. It makes little sense to create a superb web site and then start looking for a free domain. You never know in advance what the final name will be registered.

Top level domain
There are some names in overall levels of use such as com, org, net or info. If you go to everyone around the world, then this is the choice. If you are targeting a single country or region, then you can choose a country domain. Each country has its own domain, but there are also domains such as the EU (Europe) that can be considered as a generic domains.

Domain length
A general rule is that the domain name must be as short as possible. But this depends on the type of site. The short names are easy to remember and type directly in the browser is simple. However, if your site is about best pictures moon then you can choose a domain that is the main keyword or name of the website.

The dashes
In some cases you will have difficulty finding a suitable name that is not up yet. One solution might be to separate words with hyphens. While this is a bad compromise, because almost no types of dashes to enter the web address directly into the address bar of your browser, this may be the only solution to record the key phrase you want.

Additional word
This solution is not always applicable but is some cases may work well. If you find the target word or phrase already registered then you can try to create a domain with the addition of a word as a site, shop, reviews, information or anything else could be related to site content. For example, if BestMoonPhotos is already registered with all the variations that can try BestMoonPhotosGallery. In this way you are still using the name of the site and the domain is still easy to remember.

When all else fails
There should be a case in point. It 's always possible to find an appropriate name to represent our web site on the Internet. If after several attempts with your desired keyword or phrase you are still unable to find a suitable domain then simply change the keyword or the name of the destination. This also means that the market around your first choice is already saturated and there are many websites that are targeting the same keyword.

With a few attempts of trial and error you will soon get some experience and knowledge of how to find a free domain. If you are lucky you can register a domain that has some good value even without a website .......
