Internet Radio Will Come to an end July 15

This could very well be the case. Thousands of internet stations have said that new charges will simply be their failure. Because this issue is seen by a government body, the Council, webcasters and their listeners expected a decision different from that which has been passed. The collection entity SoundExchange, a division of the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) has got exactly what he asked for the hearings of the rates. The R.I.A.A. represents the major record labels in the U.S. The way the laws are set for this decision is based on a desire buyer willing seller basis. Commissions work is to determine whether prices are fair. In this case agree with Soundexchanges offer, even if the arguments and evidence was presented by the opposition group, the webcasters. These rates are as high as 1000% more than some internet stations do. This is an increase in the rate of extreme for a royalty which is not even paid by other means of transmission. Only the internet radio and satellite radio pay royalties. Satellite radio pays a fraction of the price compared to the rates imposed by the new Internet radio, only 7.5 cents of their income. Does not seem fair to penalize Internet radio, which is exactly what makes the new rates.

Who wants or needs to internet radio? The benefits of Internet radio stations as are many people who want to stay are. Approximately 52 million listeners a month tune in to Internet radio stations, and that number is growing. Choose internet radio for the diversity of genera found only on the radio and the internet looking for new artists. Internet radio to about 30% of the music played on an industrial scale are independent artists who are not on your land fm stations. These artists receive airplay from worldwide Internet. This in turn allows them to be heard all over the world and creates a market for their music as most Internet stations include a link to buy their cd. Many Internet stations only play independent artists to expose listeners to something beyond the top 40 overall, after AM and FM stations. I think it's fair to say most of the artists greatly benefit from Internet radio. With all the listeners and all the benefits an artist because SoundExchange offer such high rates close to forcing internet radio? There are many opinions on this and many explanations offered by Sound Exchange.

Such an explanation is that no benefit is gained radio airplay on the Internet and bringing in some way illegal downloads. Internet Radio is a streaming media, not a peer to peer download area. Internet broadcasters are doing everything to prevent what is commonly called stream ripper. Stream ripper programs are designed to record streaming media. There are solutions available to this problem that prevents ripping programs to record the flow. These solutions are used to persecute and tne majority of Internet broadcasters. Just heard a song on the Internet does not mean it can be downloaded. I can hear it on AM or FM station and go try to download a. If this is the case, then all transmissions must cease all means so that no one can hear a song and go try to download. But wait, is not music meant to be heard? If no one can hear then everyone loses is not it? O is that SoundExchange and the R.I.A.A. just want to control what we hear. If you delete the stations that are playing music that they are not making money then get more money by playing their music artists. It may be that listeners in the U.S. are simply tired of the 40 artists are constantly thrown at them and try something different. Maybe thats why the internet radio audience has grown so dramatically. I know one thing, if people do not act now they will soon be listening to the top 40 only once.

Another explanation is that SoundExchange artists deserve more money for their works. If you talk to most of the music artists and even some of them famous, they never even received a royalty payment. Why? Many reasons. First of all is that most of the money stock are made by SoundExchange and the record labels. The artists who can benefit from the growth rate of the majors are only artists. Do artists really need more money? They make millions a year already. I am not against making money but not at the expense of others or damage. Eliminating competition in the Internet radio music market is very small for the best labels and artists top. These independent artists who are struggling and unknown are expelled from the market with this strategy. Yes, I can see how artists can benefit from these rates, it is very clear now. Making the 52 million listeners on the internet to listen to what you want them to feel sure that you buy what you want them to buy. I think I understand now. Words indifference and greed come to mind.

These rates benefit of a few, not many. They are designed to line the pockets of companies, not artists. Let's get real. Anyone who has kept pace with this problem knows that if the Senate and Congress does not intervene in the good ole USA internet radio will die along with the diversity of music that offers the public. That's why the Coalition was formed SaveNetRadio. Thousands of artists have joined with them in support of the bill in the Senate and Congress. A Senate aide said they had received several calls about the rates of internet radio stocks than they had the war in Iraq. The government is well aware of the problem and worry about the people. I dare say that represenatives that do not support the Internet Radio Equality Act will see a drop in votes at election time. Those favors business will not win votes. Listen to the citizens of the United States will be. I think a long hard look at this problem and the effects that cause should be on everyone's mind that is involved .......
