Severe Depression - identify it, accept it and fight it Effectively
Major depression is characterized by a high incidence of five symptoms or more for a period longer than 2 weeks, these symptoms may be:
-? Minimum varies, irritable and very decayed
- Tired all the time, the person shows a total lack of energy
- Feelings of worthlessness, feeling worthless
- Feeling guilty for everything that happens, both at home and at work
- Sleep problems: insomnia, or change the natural sleep cycles
- Total loss of appetite, accompanied by emaciation or the reverse: eating and eating for anxiety, accompanied by weight gain
- Loss of concentration
- Difficulty performing any physical movement, arms and feet weighing tons
- Feelings of loneliness, hopelessness, abandonment, deep sadness
- Low self-esteem
- Changes in nature violent, anger, violence or excessive joy
- Severe drop in sexual activity
When you or a close relative present these symptoms of depression should consult your doctor, who should put you in touch with a specialist in the field, which should provide adequate treatment for their needs. Whatever the severity of your depression you must contribute to recovery following these tips:
- Try getting the sleep you need to feel rested
- Eat healthy, if not hungry, eat fruits and vegetables that are to their liking and in sufficient quantities
- Avoid drinking any type of drugs: alcohol, marijuana, cigarettes, cocaine, etc..
- Take a walk with family members, friends, and if not, take your dog for a walk
- Include in your diet, add fish to your diet fatty acids and omega 3
These recommendations will only work if combined with the treatment recommended by the psychiatrist or with psychotherapy to help the person to learn more about depression, the root causes and how to combat it. Do not miss an episode of depression, because it affects the life of the person and becomes very difficult to improve.
