Spanish Is Important For Anglophones?
Jose Brechner
English is the most important language in the world. If your language is not English, no matter where you live, you should learn because it is trade jargon, scientific, technological, and cultural diplomacy of this era. But if your language is English, what language should you learn? This question was addressed scientifically in Einstein's Office, taking reference to three different parameters of importance for the study: demographics, personal impact and economic factors.
The demographics will tell you if you use the language actively, but the demographics considered only as the number of people who speak a language does not mean anything, because while the Chinese and Indians are the most numerous of the planet, the Mandarin only can practice in China, and knowing Hindi is not going to carry very far or even in India, where English is more important. The personal impact indicates the effect of student speech in the language, which will provide tools for other languages, and the overall benefits that will, beyond a more developed culture. The economic factor is of great influence because depending on the communication skills can open up business opportunities.
Demography is the first factor that people bring up when it comes to learning a language, but its importance is only 40%. Italian or Turkish Saber is basically the same from a practical standpoint. Spanish is more important because it is spoken by 350 million people in 21 countries. The French, despite what they talk only about 130 million, has universal presence. In many parts is used as a second language and is positioned in 39 territories. It was long the language of diplomacy and the foundation for learning Romance languages. Demographically, Swahili is more important than the Portuguese because it is used in more countries. The Portuguese, used by 190 million Brazilians, also spoken in Portugal, Mozambique and Angola.
The personal impact is the highest consideration for Anglophones, it does not really need to know other languages, and its importance is 40%. The Frenchman takes the honors in this category for his Latin roots to discern the etymology of words, including 30 percent of English comes from Latin. French was the language of Europe's privileged over a thousand years and its cultural significance is indisputable. The Spanish ranks second, because his influence was permeated by the native languages of Latin and English itself. The Italian, being a direct descendant of Latin, plays a role in the management appreciated the vocabulary, but loses to use French and Spanish.
The economic factor is the most impact on learning a language, and English being the most prominent in this area, the importance of a second language for an Anglophone is only 20%. French is convenient to do business in? Africa and France. The Spanish serves as a means of communication for trade with Latin America and Spain. This is followed by German, Japanese, Mandarin and Russian.
According to the three parameters studied languages for senior Anglophone communicative utility in order are: French, Spanish, Arabic, German, Russian, Italian, Hindi, Mandarin, Portuguese, Swahili, Japanese and Turkish. Although for the U.S. Spanish is gaining prominence because of its relationship with Mexico, Latin America and the 43 million Spanish speakers living in the United States.
According to Saint George Weber in "The most important languages?, The results were similar, with reference to linguistic communication and its influence on the human race, business and culture. In sequence, after English, are French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, German, Portuguese and Hindi.
